Almost 2 years ago my Husband lost his job at the coal mine due to the Obama war on coal, shortly after leaving me to raise our children on my own. Our life has been a downhill struggle since then. We live in a very rural area not having many jobs available for women. Our family vehicle has been reposed due to non payment leaving my children and I always asking for rides and living so far out that’s almost impossible. Our electric has been shut off due to myself not being able to afford it and if not turned off it’s an every week struggle to keep it from getting disconnected. My father whom is a disabled veteran put $10,000 down on my home in October 2015 purchasing it on land contract for me and my children which I am now 3 months behind on payments being $1057 a month. I have tried to get mortgage loan so payments would be lowered but no one will approve me due to my credit score being 524. I don’t have bad credit just have no credit. My home is in needs of some major repairs. The windows being so drafty that when the wind blows it’s as if the windows are not even there. The kitchen has no running water due to busted water pipes and no means to fix them. The upstairs bathroom is well out of commission I have no clue. The electrical wiring is so old that even when the light switched off the bulb still glows or if you have more than 1 thing plugged in the breaker pops. I’m scared to death that this will cause a fire! We have no heat source in the home because it’s ran by propane I can’t afford a tank to be set let alone the fuel to fill it. We run electric space heaters raising the unaffordable electric even more. I feel as if I’m failing my children as a mother by not being able to provide for them as needed and that is one of the most heart breaking, saddest, depressing, frustrating things to deal with making it a struggle to even get out of bed some days. On top of being a let down to my father whom is a disabled vet being in jeopardy
of loosing the home he was so proud to help us get. How do I tell him that he wasted all his money
hoping to provide a safe and secure home for me and his grandchildren so he wouldn’t have to
worry about us if something would ever happen to him. That the “family farm” is coming to
an end. Our goal was to have a fully functioning farm with green house creating a few jobs and keeping the money local in the community. Go to farm days provide fresh local homegrown produce and plants affordable to all incomes. I am not looking for a hand out I’m simply asking for guidance and assistance in where to go for affordable help, where to apply for grants and which ones offer the help I’m seeking. We are hoping this reaches someone that can lead our family in the direction that we need. Thank you for the time and attention in this matter. God bless
The Forshey Family.

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09034901800805208422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3165484205805005056.post-36852265138498169752017-01-08T12:00:41.353-08:002017-01-08T12:00:41.353-08:00Have fallen on hard times. Last year my husband was unexpectedly laid off the day before Thanksgiving. We live in a very small town and job prospects are not in abundance. He has finally been offered a position and we are so thankful, however he will be paid monthly and we will not receive his first paycheck for some time. I work but my paycheck is gone to bills before it even hits the bank. Each month since he was laid off we fall further and further behind and even more so due to an unexpected medical event. We are now 2 months behind on rent, 4 months on our car payments, countless medical bills, and I have no idea how we are going to pay the electric bill this Friday. I know we can not make it until his first paycheck and have no family or friends who would themselves be able to help us. I was going to look into one of those cash advance loans(which I know will just put us further behind and in hole we may never get out of) when someone told me about this website. I feel very out of place asking strangers for donations but I do know we are good people and will pay it forward when we are passed this trial.
Thank you for considering our family.
- Adam, Kristin, and BeckhamAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3165484205805005056.post-55925927696198778232013-07-09T04:53:24.263-07:002013-07-09T04:53:24.263-07:00If you're experiencing hardship please leave a...If you're experiencing hardship please leave a comment below.
